Hansika Motwani was born on August 9, 1991 in Mumbai to businessman father Pradeep Motwani and Dermatologist mother Mona Motwani and has a brother named Prashant Motwani. Hansika started her career as a child artist and featured in many ad campaigns like Hyundai Santro with Shahrukh Khan, Samsung Electronics, Bournvita, and Pepsi. She is a young artist and attends Podar International School. She mainly speaks English, Telugu, Hindi and Broken Tulu.
She also took part in Celebrity Fame Gurukul, a singing competition among some other celebrities for charity. Though she was not a very good singer, Hansika noted that she accepted to be a part of the show because she wanted to do something for the children of Make-A-Wish Foundation
Movie Career
Being a multilingual newcomer actress, she is successful in entertaining people both in Bollywood and Tollywood. She made a debut role as an actress in Puri Jagannadh's Telugu film, Desamuduru opposite Allu Arjun with a role of a Sannyasi.
In Bollywood, she made her debut role as a lead actress in Himesh Reshammiya’s Aap Ka Suroor - The Real Love Story, where she plays as Ria - Himesh’s lover. This movie was a hit and it got good response from viewers in India and she has been critiqued as promising newcomer.
She is a persona with big talents and competence and she takes up projects with a challenge. Recently a Kannada film Bindaas (15 Jan,2008) with Puneet Rajkumar and is currently shooting for Kantri with Junior NTR. She was recently nominated for the prestigious Filmfare Award for the best debut Female (2008).
In Bollywood, she is doing film Money Hai Toh Honey Hai with Govinda and there are many exciting roles lined up for this young actress and she has started getting crore upward offers for her roles. It is exciting to know that big film makers are busy signing this budding actress for their upcoming projects.
Hansika also acted in many Hindi soap operas like Ekta Kapoor's Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, a popular kids show of Sony namely Boogie Woogie , Sony TV's Hum 2 Hain Na, Des Mein Nikla Hoga Chand and Zee TV's Tum Bin to name a few.
